Michael Torke is an American composer, but it's far more accurate to say he's a New York composer.
Composer Michael Torke is best known for his "color" music -- like "Bright Blue Music and "Green." "Javelin" was written for an Atlanta Symphony Orchestra anniversary, but had a connection to the Olympic Games and a not-so-memorable 1970's car.
Speaking of cars, one of Michael Torke's current projects is SENNA, an opera about Formula-1 racing legend Ayrton Senna.
